Who is Andrew Peebles?
Growing up in North Vancouver, B.C and starting formal music training on the piano at the young age of 8, Andrew showed promising musical talent from the moment he could hum a tune. Having studied different styles of drumming and piano throughout high school, he decided to further his musical knowledge at the post-secondary level and graduated from Capilano University in 2009 with a Bachelor's degree in Jazz Studies (Drum principle).
After university, Andrew played with a number of local artists including Carly Rae Jepsen, Hayley McLean, ByStarlight, and David Ward. It was around this time his love for the studio life and music production was born.
Continuously looking for new ways to grow as an artist, performer, and student of music, Andrew jumped at the chance to pursue a life long dream of attending Berklee College of Music. In 2011, he was accepted to Berklee on scholarship and finished the Fall of 2014 with a professional diploma in Music Production and Engineering. While at Berklee, Andrew had no shortage of amazing playing opportunities and experiences. A few of the more memorable moments include drumming in front of rock n' roll legend Jmmy Page at Berklee's May 2014 Commencement concert and playing on the Berklee stage at SXSW with Charles Johnson (March 2014).
Since moving to Nashville in January of 2015, Andrew has been busy writing, playing and producing. He has high hopes for a bright future in the music business.
What does he do?
Whether on the stage or in the studio, from the most grandiose productions to the smallest of coffee shops, Andrew can be trusted to get the job done on time, in time (drummer joke), and with integrity.
On top of producing and performing he also enjoys writing for a variety of entertainment mediums. If you would like to hear some of his original music compositions for visual media, be sure to visit the Multimedia page and his Soundcloud page. Come say hi!!
